UEFA Conference LeagueConference League Final 2027 in Istanbul: What You Need to Know
The 2027 Conference League final will be played on Wednesday 2 June 2027 at Beşiktaş Stadium in Istanbul, a ground of around 40,000 seats on the European shore of the Bosphorus. Unusually, it comes after the Europa League final and just three days before the Champions League final. Kick-off time and ticket details are still to be confirmed.
Conference League final 2027: date, venue and what is still unknown
UEFA's Executive Committee awarded the final to Istanbul on 22 May 2024, at a meeting in Dublin. The match will be staged at Beşiktaş Stadium, also known as Beşiktaş Park or Tüpraş Stadyumu, whose capacity UEFA gives as around 40,000.
- Confirmed: Wednesday 2 June 2027, Beşiktaş Stadium, Istanbul
- To be confirmed: kick-off time, ticket sale dates, 2027 prices
- To be decided: the two finalists, after the semi-finals on 29 April and 6 May 2027
The scheduling is worth noting. The Europa League final in Frankfurt comes first, on 26 May, and the Conference League follows a week later, only three days before the Champions League final. In practice that means three UEFA finals in three countries within eleven days, which puts pressure on flights and hotels across Europe. If you are hoping to follow your club to Istanbul, it pays to sort out documents and a refundable room long before the semi-finals.
A Conference League host stadium that knows the routine
Beşiktaş Stadium is no stranger to UEFA finals. It staged the 2026 Europa League final on 20 May 2026, so the local organisers, transport operators and police will be working from a very recent playbook. That usually means well-signposted fan zones and a clear plan for getting two sets of supporters in and out.
The ground sits in the Beşiktaş district, close to the Dolmabahçe Palace and the waterfront, which makes it one of the most central major stadiums in Europe. Many fans can walk from hotels in Beşiktaş or Taksim, and ferries across the Bosphorus land nearby. On final day the surrounding streets will be crowded, so arrive early and plan your return in advance.
The Conference League road to Istanbul
The Conference League knockout calendar runs in parallel with the Europa League, with ties on Thursdays:
- Knockout play-offs: 18 and 25 February 2027
- Round of 16: 11 and 18 March 2027
- Quarter-finals: 8 and 15 April 2027
- Semi-finals: 29 April and 6 May 2027
- Final: 2 June 2027, Istanbul
The gap of almost four weeks between the second semi-final legs and the final gives clubs, and their supporters, more time than usual to organise travel. That is good news for anyone planning a long trip, and for fans of clubs whose cities have no direct flights to Istanbul.
How the Conference League ticket ballot works
UEFA has not yet published the 2027 sales calendar. In 2026, Conference League final tickets were sold only on uefa.com, with the public application window opening on 20 March. After it closed, UEFA allocated tickets by ballot, not on a first-come basis, so applying on the first morning brings no advantage.
- Each finalist received 11,500 tickets in 2026, sold directly by the clubs.
- The cheapest Fans First category goes only to finalists' supporters.
- Press reports mention a limit of two tickets per person.
- Tickets are mobile and personal, which makes informal resale risky.
In 2026, 33,200 of the 39,700 tickets were available to fans and the general public, a higher share than for the Champions League final. Activate our ticket alert to know when the 2027 window opens.
Conference League final prices: what 2026 tells us
The 2027 prices are to be confirmed. As a reference from the previous edition, UEFA's official prices for the 2026 final in Leipzig were €25 for Fans First (finalists only), €45 for Category 3, €140 for Category 2 and €190 for Category 1. This is the most affordable of the three men's UEFA club finals, which makes it a good first final for neutral fans.
Istanbul can also be a reasonably priced city break, though hotel rates rise sharply around big events. If you intend to go whoever the finalists are, a refundable booking made early is the safest option.
Planning your Conference League trip from the UK or the US
Istanbul has two international airports, Istanbul Airport on the European side and Sabiha Gökçen on the Asian side. Both have direct links with London and other UK cities, and Istanbul Airport has non-stop services to several major US cities. Allow time for the journey into the centre, which can be long in traffic.
- Check the entry requirements for Türkiye that apply to your passport well before travelling.
- Early June is generally warm in Istanbul, so plan for heat in the afternoon fan zones.
- Use official taxis or public transport, and keep your phone charged: your ticket will be on it.
Some fans will try to fit in a double: Istanbul on Wednesday, then the Champions League final in Madrid on Saturday 5 June. It is possible with direct flights, but only worth attempting if you already hold tickets for both.
Conference League resale and staying safe
Tickets for UEFA finals are tied to the buyer, and a ticket passed on outside official channels can be cancelled. Resale platforms do advertise Conference League final seats, often well above face value, but the risk of being refused entry falls on you. Stick to uefa.com, your club, and any official face-value resale that UEFA may offer to unsuccessful applicants. We are an independent guide with no connection to UEFA.
