The road to Saint-Denis: the Coupe de France calendar

The FFF has published its 2026-27 calendar, which gives the closing stages of the competition a clear shape:

• Quarter-finals: Wednesday 3 March 2027.
• Semi-finals: Wednesday 21 April 2027.
• Final: Saturday 15 May 2027, Stade de France, Saint-Denis.
• Kick-off: to be confirmed.
• Finalists and 2027 prices: to be confirmed.

The final lands two weeks before the last Ligue 1 matchday on Saturday 29 May, so it does not compete with the title run-in's final day.

The Coupe de France, France's answer to the FA Cup

If you know the FA Cup, the Coupe de France will feel familiar, only more so. It is open to thousands of amateur clubs across mainland France and the overseas territories, and the early rounds are played on village pitches long before the professionals join in. The French have a name for the lowest-ranked side still standing: the petit poucet, or Tom Thumb, and its run is followed nationwide.

Founded during the First World War, the competition has made its home at the Stade de France since the stadium opened for the 1998 World Cup. For Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille or Lyon fans the final is a familiar ritual; for a provincial club or an amateur outsider it can be the biggest day in its history.

How Coupe de France final 2027 tickets are sold

Tickets are shared out by the FFF. The largest blocks go to the two finalist clubs, which sell them to their own supporters, usually starting with season-ticket holders and members. The federation also keeps seats for the amateur football community, partners and, in some years, a public sale through its official ticketing site.

For a foreign visitor without a club card, the honest answer is that seats are hard to secure unless a general sale is opened. The steps that give you the best chance:

1. Create an account on the FFF's official ticketing platform ahead of time.
2. If you support one of the likely finalists, check how its membership scheme handles cup final priority.
3. Activate our email alert so you hear as soon as the semi-finals are played and sales are announced.

Coupe de France resale: proceed with care

Resale platforms will list Coupe de France final tickets, sometimes before anyone knows who is playing. Tickets for major French fixtures are often nominative and issued electronically to a named account, and unauthorised resale can lead to cancellation. Only buy through the FFF, the finalist clubs or an official exchange if one is offered.

Getting to the Coupe de France final from London and beyond

For British fans, the final is an easy weekend trip. Eurostar runs from London St Pancras to Paris Gare du Nord in a little over two hours, and from Gare du Nord the Stade de France is a short hop on the RER suburban network:

• RER B to La Plaine Stade de France.
• RER D to Stade de France Saint-Denis.
• Metro line 13 to Saint-Denis Porte de Paris, a short walk away.

American visitors will most likely land at Paris Charles de Gaulle, and the RER B links the airport with the stadium area directly. Allow plenty of time after the final whistle: queues for the stations are long, and many fans choose to wait for the crowds to thin out before heading back into Paris.

A May full of finals, starting with the Coupe de France

Mid-May 2027 is packed. The Coupe de France final comes one week before the FA Cup final at Wembley on 22 May, and less than a fortnight before the Europa League final in Frankfurt on 26 May. Coupe de France kick-off and watching from abroad

The FFF and its broadcasters will fix the kick-off later in the season, so any time currently circulating should be treated with caution. Paris is one hour ahead of London, and six hours ahead of New York in May, which means an evening final in France falls in the early afternoon on the US East Coast.
